[Theory] Madara and the 1st were FRIENDS????????????

When people fight each other say in a death match they do come to terms and end up respecting each other no matter who the person is.

It do not neccessarily mean they should be friends but one thing is clear Madara and Hashirama fought most of the times each other and gained respect for each other IMO I can relate it Guy and Kisame here you can see it here

So it might be same for Hashirama and Madara but its little different for Naruto and Sasuke

Just because they were enemies it doesn't mean that they had to talk trash about each other. Madara and Hashirama, as well as the Uchiha and Senju respected each other and their power.
Respect, something that, unfortunately, today most people know nothing of, lol.

Before the Village was formed both Hashirama and Madara were enemies... Both the Uchiha clan and Senju clan fought relentlessly before the village was formed.

Moreover Madara had EMS before the village was formed here
