Everyone's been eager to finally see some interactions between Madara and Sasuke, and even though we finally got our wish, I'm somewhat disappointed. I was hoping to get more reactions between them since Sasuke does indeed look like Izuna and also is the second person to achieve the EMS, meaning Madara and Sasuke both had their brothers die.

But what I'm really hoping is that Madara will give the same speech he gave Hashirama about the Rikudou Sennin and the origin of chakra, and how it only made the wars and strife in the world worse.

Sasuke's goal is from what we can assume is to destroy the current ninja system, which was further evidenced by him trying to burn the juubi down and end its cycle.

They share a common goal, but to different ends.

I wonder if Sasuke's demeanor toward Madara might change after hearing the truth.

I was also disappointed. I was looking forward to so much more.
"You got EMS? Come to my side."
"No. I'mma kill you, f*cker."
"Whatever. You're gonna die anyway."

Because he could care less about Sasuke. He has given up on the world. But I doubt he'll kill Sasuke without telling him his truth

I agree I feel as though kishi should have tried harder.

I too hoped for more, but for a first interaction, I liked it.

Sasuke still carrying the IDGAF attitude, being a damn man and Shinobi.
Madara dimissing him like a piece of crap.

It was good.
That's how two people who clash like that are supposed to be, not this "I was like you, world in sunny and rainbows" garbage.

@Bold: But in the end isnt that what he wants?

Madara just has a bad way of expressing his emotions lol.

Madara will kill/stomp sasuke unless the alliance somehow backs him up. Although things look very dim. Naruto is very exhausted, Hashi is out, minato/kakashi will face black zetsu. The only saviour possible is Yamato U_U

He wants it, but we don't need to constantly hear about it. The whining, the *****ing and moaning that we endured with Obito was ridiculous.

Madara made his intentions clear and he's going to go and do it, not try and talk down to people, not try and convince them to follow his path, he tried already, they rejected it so he'll use force.

And Sasuke did exactly what he should have done, he doesn't need to question Madara's goals, he's a damn threat and needs to be dealt with quickly.

Interaction is what's important, it felt stale & should be touched upon more in the future.

Of course it is, but not right now.
Madara and Sasuke don't need to engage in a life story with each other when they just met.

They both strongly reaffirmed their positions, now we'll wait and see what else they could clash over.

But, it wouldn't surprise me if Kishi decided to go the Obito-Naruto route and have a game of "I was sadder! No I was!" determining the outcome.

Yeah, the best part was when he treated Saske as a spare.

& sasuke wasnt offended, he was generically angry because he had to be.

Where is sasuke's emotion? his connection? It feels like sasuke is killing madara for the sake of madara "being a threat" when this guy's ideals have clearly corrupted the uchiha clan to the point of their own endangerment.

It is so deep rooted & sasuke holds no grudge, madara is simply a "villain that must be stopped", I thought sasuke was doing this for himself & Itachi, he's becoming selfless & people arent seeing it because its covered up by his generic anger.

This begs the question, does sasuke even have a goal after this is over? What will he do? Give up on all the evil he's done & go back happily with naruto? Or selflessly save someone in the turn of a last minute epiphany? I hope not, I hope that sasuke gets closure, killing madara brings closure however sasuke's not showing it.

It feels as though there should have been an immediate connection because of what I explained above. Madara is so deep-rooted into all of this that it's disgraceful for sasuke to even consider madara a member of his clan.

Woah, That's way too much for a small interaction that we just had.

Why would Sasuke get over emotional about Madara dismissing him?
He didn't do that when Obito called him a traitor, so why now?

It's quite clear that Sasuke has his own goals to achieve, but they can't be achieved with Madara running around. He doesn't need to act like Naruto and Obito and constantly re-affirm and tell us because we don't know the extent of what he wants to do.

Maybe, as him and Madara continue to go up against each other, more will be revealed, but expecting all that emotion and depth for this small interaction , which was their FIRST, is way too much.

Also, Madara is not responsible for the 'corruption' of the Uchiha Clan. The Clan was never corrupt to begin with and Madara is in no way an embarrassment to the Clan.
He is not responsible for their endangerment at all.

I guess I'm asking for a bit much, but I guess the plot has been at a standstill for so long that I just wan't to see some progress.

@Bold: The knowledge corrupted him & certain members (not all of them, but the ones who could make a difference), as your eyes develop you gain access to abilities that just lead to more power/abilities....Power for peace...The uchiha's goal, sparked by madara himself

"as long as the concept of winners exist, there will always be losers" - Uchiha Madara speaking of a harsh reality where everyone can't be winners, which is idealism that can corrupt & change people in a negative way.

So madara shared his knowledge to other members of the clan who started practicing/preaching it. Obito is the prime example of this. If it were not for madara & his ideals then the uchiha clan would not have nearly gone extinct. It was the perpetual tide of events that started with madara & his beliefs.

It's never been shown that Madara's ideals were something that the Uchiha Clan listened to or followed.
Their gain of power was not because of Madara's ideals.

What happened to them is in direct correlation of the dirty politics, and disgraceful leadership of the so called Leaf Village which is an absolute disgrace. We don't have proof of Uchiha Clan memebers following Madara's ideals or coming to the conclusion that the world turns people into losers.
That Clan was set up to fail as soon as Tobirama became leader.
Power for peace is not the Uchiha's goal, but the Elder Son's.

Obito is a prime example of ignorance, not of Madara's ideals warping someone.
Obito CHOSE to leave the cave and forget about Madara to save his friends. Madara didn't force him to change his views and where they might share a similar goal, there's a huge discrepancy.
Madara's goal is based off what he knows about the history of Shinobi, life experiences and the cycle of corruption.
Obito's was simply based off seeing his friend die. (Kishi refused to expand on any other factors for some reason)
This is further highlighted with Obito's constant flashbacks of Rin, someone that he put his ENTIRE world into and the minute she died, he lost all hope. That has nothing to do with Madara.
