I don't think the modifications done to his body gave him him more chakra... I think the Rinnegan just had traces of Madara's chakra as it was his eye.

Then would you say that Madara gaining Senju dna did nothing for his chakra reserves?

SZ doesn't amplify Obito's mokuton either, databook never stated that he can anyways.
