How cool would it have been to see Madara and Hashirama team up when they had an alliance, against some kind of a villain, and see how they would have worked together and maybe a fusion between Shinsuusenju and PS, they would've been unstoppable

You probably feel it was better written, and such due to those chapters being covered all at once rather than over the course of the whole story.

I doubt PS being able to cover the entire Shinsuusenju as some are saying. But regardless of that, the duo and their fight will be epic with mass scale destruction, though it won't be the high speed monster strength thrilling action as Adult Naruto and Sasuke. I like Hashirama and Madara's relationship more however.

The story of Hashi and Madz was simpler - both characters remained relatively unchanged once they decided their courses of action.

The Naruto/Sasuke story was more complex, especially given that the reader never knew Sasuke's inner thoughts (only his goals and actions) until the end of the story.
