I somewhat agree.

You really cant deny that they were evenly matched the entire fight. It seems that even Sage Mode didnt really give hash a edge over madara. Hashirama stopped the kyuubi and Madara destroyed the hands of hashirama's statue.

I can agree to the fact that they are of equal level, However I believe Hashirama has more chakra still. So it comes done to the fact the Hashirama can/could out last Madara.

Actually, all that was TBB's that matched Hashi's powers.... There wasn't even a little effort from Madara in that...

It just as Madara said, 'You are the only one who can fight me on equal grounds...'

The exact should be more like, 'Madara! You are the only one to fight me on equal grounds, not guaranteeing the victory'
