He's by far better than Eminem. He has songs that are funny, he has songs that are serious. His performance at concerts are amazing and he has so much passion for his music. Trust me, if you see him live, you'll be blown away. He literally doesn't smile, but when he sings, he can't stop smiling. Been following Macklemore for 3 years and he's going as strong as ever. Despite choosing his silly song as the most popular, I still can't stop myself from being so happy for him. He deserves this spotlight more so than any other singer out there.
