Alright. Since you learned the very basic ice technique, this one comes next.

(Hyouton: Shimogakure no Jutsu) - Ice Release: Hiding in Frost Technique

Description: The user after performing the rat hand seal covers the surrounding area in frost which they can then use another technique to blend into the surroundings and sneak up on their opponent.

After you perform the handseals you can spread your chakra into your surroundings in order to create a frost cover and then you can merge with it in order to easily sneak up onto your enemy. It's an extremely useful technique and I think it could works amazingly well with silent homicide technique.

Before I do so, the merger is a separate technique yeah? I can't just merge with the frost at will... The jutsu description suggests differently to your description so I figured I'd clear it up before getting it wrong.

Yeah, that would be the case if there actually was another technique that lets you blend in. I'm sure the description of the technique is off thus you're able to cover the battlefield as a first step of the technique and then you can use it to merge in the second step.

Okay cool, well then. With but a single handseal the ridiculously attractive blonde (if I do say so myself) causes the scenery to change, starting with the ground. The luscious green grass beneath the pairs feet begins to lose it colour, the green fading into a cold grey before becoming dotted with white and blue. The frost spreads effortlessly through grass and dirt alike, leaving the ground to crunch underfoot as the pair move freely through the slightly cooled air. From the earth the frost spreads further, reaching high into the tallest of trees and down into the caverns of the earth. A mere crunch is all it takes, and the girl is gone. She blends perfectly with her environment, the cold icy tones spread themselves, decorating her skin with the sparkling beauty of winter, allowing her freedom within the confines of Christmas.

Barney watches as the environment turns into nothing but frost. He loves frost. He loves ice. It all appears like a dream. Like he was one of the best Ice users some long time ago, but no, it wasn't real. Barney couldn't perform Ice techniques because he wasn't born with the Kekkei Genkai. Nevertheless, he enjoyed the change of scenery. He started walking around, trying to carefully place his steps and not to alert his student but with every step the frost cracked under the pressure of his body. The cracks were obvious and distinguishing, easily revealing his position yet his student vanished from sight. He activates his inner sonar in order to be able to keep up with the student.

Alright then how about you shoot out a cluster of needles that are shaped like swallows. Since they are connected to you with chakra it means that you can control them thus why it's impossible to dodge them and they have to be destroyed. Same as every ice jutsu, they're not weak to fire but rather neutral to it because, yes, the fire melts the ice but the water from the ice extinguishes the fire in the process.

Description: The user will shoot out a cluster of needles, shaped like swallows, which will fly out toward their target with great speed. The swallows are unable to be dodged as they can change direction in mid-air, redirecting themselves to hit their target. This jutsu is also highly resistant to fire attacks, unable to be destroyed by fire jutsu unless it is higher than C ranked.

Releasing the already stored ice chakra into the air I create multiple swallows of ice. The swallows glimmer as they fly through the air a great speeds, aimed directly for you. The swallows travel wildly, spinning in and out of each other as they fly, creating a wonderful performance of sheer glistening beauty in the air between teacher and student.

Releasing the already stored ice chakra into the air I create multiple swallows of ice. The swallows glimmer as they fly through the air a great speeds, aimed directly for you. The swallows travel wildly, spinning in and out of each other as they fly, creating a wonderful performance of sheer glistening beauty in the air between teacher and student.

With the follow up sound of crystallizing ice, I notice ice swallows being directed at me and I perform a summersault to my side in order to avoid them but then I notice them swiftly changing direction and still charging at me. With a chidori variation from my hand, I shatter the ice and nod in acknowledgement.

That's very good. So, with ice you can also manipulate it into creating domes and ice prisons. It's very good for defending against low rank techniques or even to immobilize an opponent. This is a magnificent way of gaining the upper hand and even better if you already have ice on the battlefield that you can manipulate instead of having to create it completely. The advantage is that if you encase yourself you can still move within the ice while the opponent can't and what's interesting is that with proper descriptions you can take it to another level and mention the ruthless cold and possible frostbites that could affect his bare skin on the hands or face. They're obviously not big details but they add a nice touch.

As I finish talking while looking around, I hear a very subtle crack and I recognize it as a footstep that crushed the gentle ice cover. Within a heartbeat, I shoot out a small water bullet towards you aimed to blast and soak you in order to reveal you completely from your ice cover.

Description: The user will rise up what seems like a jagged pillar of ice from the ground, encasing their opponent and freezing them in place. The user can also use this on themselves, encasing themselves in ice to defend them from jutsu. Being an ice user, however, the user will still be able to move their arms and legs fluently while in the ice.
