Or because they all shared chakra, I take back it being pathetic but most likely creating enough noise would negate its effects. So without summons its useless, but even with summons it would probably be pointless.

kakuzu detaches his left arm & watches its tentacles solo them.

senjutsu boosted wind + fire combo is their sole option, but would only amount to repeatedly pushing kakuzu back.
