Mom's are a sensitive subject in One Piece . Well because most of them are dead. Ussops Mom, Nami's Foster mom Belmere, Vivi's Mom, Nico Olivia,Otihime, Rebecca's mom Scarlet . . and so on, whereas the fathers are alive(well,most of them).
Why u do dis Oda ??!!
Why do so many Moms pass away while their kids are so young??!! :nuts:
This brings us to Luffy's Mom. There is Zero information on Luffy's mom. We don't even know if she is alive or dead.
So basically, my theory has no real evidence to support it but I'd like to think this theory could work anyway. So lets begin.
The Theory
Luffy's Mom is really Jack ,one of the underground Brokers(Or maybe some other important figure in the underground). Jack is just an Alias ,to make us think that "Jack" is a Dude.
Similar to how Joker was Doffy's Alias , Jack is Luffy's Mom's Alias but unlike Doffy, nobody knows who Jack really is as in no one has seen his/her face(maybe someone close to Jack, but nobody else).
Why I think so?
1) Luffy's family is extraordinary. ( Also his mentors and idols )
Each and every member of Luffy's Family is one of the biggest players in the One Piece World.
His Father Dragon is the Revolutionary army leader.His Grandfather is a Living Marine Legend who fought on par with the Pirate [COLOR=#0000FF !important]King[/COLOR].
His Brothers were one of the top officers of the a Major power in One Piece.
Ace was second division commander and Sabo is [COLOR=#0000FF !important]Chief of staff[/COLOR] in the Revs.
His Idol is Shanks and his coach during the time skip was the PK [COLOR=#0000FF !important]first mate[/COLOR] Rayleigh .
When we look at all these great figures, it just seems more and more likely that Luffy's Mom would also be a big name.
But since she is an Undergroud player, her affiliations are not known and her identity is a secret.
2) She is probably Alive because
If Luffy's mom were to be dead, I think it would have been mentioned .
Since most of the mom's have been mentioned and their status' have also been confirmed but if Luffy's Mom was actually dead ,wouldn't Oda mention it. Why keep the suspense about her status if she wasn't alive?!
3)It could explain how Dragon and Luffy's Mum met.
Dragon obviously decided to create a Rev Army before Luffy was born.
So how do you start an army to go against the WG, without the WG finding out??
You go to the underground of course.
A shady place like the Underground is perfect to recruit someone who despises the WG.And in his(Dragon) search,he met Luffy's Mum .She could provide him with the necessary resources and info needed to start a Rev army.
He could have met her ,fell in love, and hence ,Luffy was born. Garp somehow found out that his son was trying to go against the WG, and hence found out about Luffy and took him so Luffy wouldn't follow his fathers footsteps and end up a Revolutionary but Garp didn't know about Luffy's mom since Dragon never revealed her secret.
4) It's sort of a running gag.
Whenever members of Luffy's Family are revealed , there's obvious shock about ,what the hell is up with this Family?
When Dragon was Revealed as Luffy's Dad. .

Even when,Luffy revealed to Ivanokov,we have a similar reaction(Obviously)

So if and when Luffy's Mom is revealed we can assume a similar reaction. . .
Conclusion
Luffy's Mom is Alive and is actually in the Underground under the Alias Jack.
Dragon met her in the underground when he was starting to make the Rev Army.
Garp doesn't know who Luffy's mom is and hence never told him.Only Dragon knows.Thats why we don't know her.We will find out Luffy's Mom's Identity when Luffy meets Dragon, which would be Jack.
So what do you think.Pretty good theory right??
