You misunderstand. Blackbeard needs to establish contact with Luffy in order for Blackbeard to take Luffy's powers. If Luffy just punches Blackbeard, then Luffy's powers will remain intact. If Luffy is standing 10 meters away and punches Blackbeard, that contact between Luffy's fist and Blackbeard's cheek wouldn't cause Luffy's powers to be deactivated.

What if you stretch luffy's arm very far and touch blackbeards hand with luffy's palm but not his body. Does his arm stop being stretchy instantly and pull back towards his body? Or does his body pull towards black beard? Or since he isn't rubber anymore instantly wouldn't that make his arm just ripped off? Like what happens if buggy is broken up into pieces and then one piece touches sea stone? Does buggy die? Does he reassemble? How would he reassemble if he doesn't have powers? And in the case of BB taking luffy's stretchiness mid stretch wouldn't Luffy just start to lose limbs or his head? What if it was his neck? Like would he instantly have his head one place and his body in the other?
