This is how i believe things will play out atm
We know that besides the sh savings pekoms home island, Nami also has lola's (whos presumably big mams daughter) vivi card. For those 2 reasons, i forsee the sh and bm pirates getting on good terms and forming a alliance. I also believe that kidd and kaidos crew will have a alliance or agreement of sorts.
What i don't know is what each alliances goals are ultimately but this is how I see the fights going down. Luffy, being one of the supernova of his alliance will opt to take down kaido himself telling big mam that he has personal issues with kaido (luffy and co saw the destruction jack caused). Big mam will concede to let luffy take out kaido and she'll shift her focus on the pirates who destroyed 2 of her ships during fishman island arc (kidd pirates/alliance). Before the alliance takes action, the sh pirates and big mam pirates will develop a good relationship to the point that luffy considers them nakama. Then each crew will setoff.
I believe that will happen right before the sh enter wano kuni and do what they gotta do. I also forsee x drake joining luffy and laws alliance during wano to form a 3 headed supernova alliance like kidd appo Hawkins.
After wano arc comes to close and luffy has defeated kaido and his zoan/smiley army. They will celebrate like they always do until they receive word (probably via news paper) that while they were defeating kaido, kidds crew will upset and defeat big mams crew. Thing is, kidd isn't content with just winning and i believe he will slaughter and kill the whole big mam pirate crew.
I believe this is what will setup the luffy vs kidd showdown. With both having defeated a yonko, each of them would essentially become a yonko in essence and they will meet on equal terms. Ive always felt like luffy and kidds relationship is rivalry based, as opposed to bb and akainu whom luffy hates and have grudges with. While luffy will be mad at how kidds crew did bm crew, kidd can have the right to be just as pissed that luffy beats kaido (although i dont forsee luffy killing kaido. Hes been defeated 7 times and still kicking).
Kidd and luffy are both aiming for the title of pirate king and are moving at roughly the same rate, taking different routes. But the yonkos (outside of bb) have all been around for some time now and have made what i would call "zero" progression towards becoming pk and finding one piece. The yonkos have been stagnant while the new generation law spoke of have been making some moves.
And from where the manga is (zou) to where luffy and kidd beat kaido and mam, i believe the bb pirates vs revolutionary army will have passed and we may get a glimpse of shanks 1st move towards whatever it is hes trying to do. Maybe goes after bb, or maybe hes gunning for the gorosei. This paragraph is a flat out guess
