[Question] Luffy; Rubber and Now fire? Yay or Nay?

Why does it go down? Hes not a DF ***** like Ace or Magellan. He still has haki and his physical stats as a paramecia beforehand.

Luffy won't be admiral level after gaining such a fruit. Admirals are strong not because of their DF but because of their physical stats and haki mastery. Admirals aren't DF whores, they are still top tier even without their DF. Luffy's haki mastery or physical stats won't go sky rocket after gaining the mera mera so I don't see how he will be top tier. On top of that, his firepower won't increase either. His EGG is comparable to Ace's entei and red hawk comparable to hiken. Their firepower is comparable to eachother. Unless luffy could use both EGG and entei at same time(doubt it). The pros of getting it is basicly flashier attacks and logia defense which is pretty good for canceling other haki like Akainu does with his magma logia defense. The cons of this is that it won't be that much of a powerup like I listed above.

Where do you see that i said luffy would be admiral level? On top of that logia's are said that they can't take real damage because they won't be use to the attacks used by haki users. Just look at the blackbeard vs ace fight

like you can have Paramecia + Logia would work but you can't use Paramecia + Paramecia or Zoan + Zoan

I really hope they don't cheapen Ace's DF and Luffy's strength...

For Blackbeard, it was justified (he is the main villain after all)

But for Luffy, Having 2 DFs would sort of dull the purpose of getting even stronger and defeating his enemies with genuine effort (Rubber and Fire together would be far too ridiculous).

Hmm, I'm split here on one hand I like the idea of Luffy becoming stronger with his rubber abilities alone however having Ace's power could be the power boost he needs I mean could you imagine a jet flaming Gatling gun, also it would add the whole Ace getting revenge on Akainu if let's say Luffy beat him.

Also people you need to realize BB is on another level now WB's power and the yami yami fruit it's OP to bits and personally I don't see how rubber abilities alone could stand up to that power and again it would feel like Ace is getting some sort of revenge on BB for everything.

Anyway I'd hate to see any other strawhat or enemy get it either it should be destroyed or Luffy should get it as to push himself onto Admiral level since I doubt there's going to be another time skip allowing Luffy to get stronger.

Well Naruto is already OP as hell in his own respective manga, and Luffy is going to need something to reach that level in his own respective manga.

In my opinion, Luffy getting the Mera Mera no Mi makes a lot of sense, cause Blackbeard was able to get two devil fruit powers and both he and Luffy have the Will of D. so there's that connection.

Cause if you really think about it, wouldn't we all be pissed if someone else ate that fruit?

This + the stating of what happens when a person eats two DFs demonstrates that ordinarily 2 DFs can't be eaten and that Blackbeard's trick is the key to eating two DFs, so Luffy won't casually be able to consume the Mera Mera fruit.

Also, there's clearly a theme here about Luffy becoming the King of the Pirates when he just possesses a Paramecia Fruit. Paramecia is meant to be the least advantageous of devil fruits, yet such a devil fruit type person is meant to be the one to become King of the Pirates in opposition to the most likeliest candidate - the most powerful pirate in the world, Blackbeard, who possesses the power of not just one, but TWO Logia, when Logia by itself is meant to be the most advantageous of DF types.

BB has a Paramecia and a Logia. And most likely, after the timeskip, he's gained a lot more.

I don't see the big deal of Luffy having one more, when I would bet that BB has probably 5 or more, and maybe even his crew has some of their own.

It would undermine Luffy becoming King of the Pirates without the same sort of cheating that Blackbeard has engaged in. Blackbeard's devil fruit is more of an element (darkness) rather than a change of quality/condition.

Blackbeard is haxing his way to the finish line with lots of cheat codes. Luffy isn't engaging in any of those cheat codes but will inevitably perform the ultimate hax by overcoming Blackbeard at the end with the sheer willpower, nakama-strength and all that crap lol.

I doubt Luffy will eat it. Perhaps Franky will learn how to have objects "eat" a fruit and Zoro could give it to one of his swords, giving him a fire sword. Luffy would certainly trust Zoro with the fruit has he is his right hand man and it would make a sweet fudging sword.

Also Ace is USE to fight haki users unlike fodder caribou. He lived in the NW for 2 years, which people use haki every single day.

I wasn't talking about the Yami Yami no Mi, I know that's a Logia. I'm talking about the Gura Gura no Mi, that one is a Paramecia.
