[Question] Luffy; Rubber and Now fire? Yay or Nay?

Pros of him getting The Mera Mera no Mi
After mastering it, he would probably be atleast around admiral level
The attacks will now be even stronger than aces due to him having haki
After fighting blackbeard, he will feel as if he's surpassed ace especially now that he has the fruit
Cons
He already has red hawk
The bond between him zoro and sanji will be widened much greater
He already has a rubber defense, him getting a logia defense makes no sense
He would simply be too overpowered, etc

What do you think?

Nay. It is not needed at all. It would be better off with someone who Luffy really trusts, or with a main villain. The other option as others have mentioned is for Luffy to destroy it, but idk if that would do much good since it can just reform to another fruit.

Actually, the reform thing only seems to apply to when the consumer of the Fruit dies.
I don't really want Luffy to eat it. I still vouch for it to be eaten by a villain or destroyed, causing Luffy to indirectly crush Joker's plan to rile him up.

I was guessing maybee it would get a flame pattern like cars or tattos have, and then it could shoot fire at will....like a permenant Firebird Star!!!

Why does it go down? Hes not a DF ***** like Ace or Magellan. He still has haki and his physical stats as a paramecia beforehand.

Luffy won't be admiral level after gaining such a fruit. Admirals are strong not because of their DF but because of their physical stats and haki mastery. Admirals aren't DF whores, they are still top tier even without their DF. Luffy's haki mastery or physical stats won't go sky rocket after gaining the mera mera so I don't see how he will be top tier. On top of that, his firepower won't increase either. His EGG is comparable to Ace's entei and red hawk comparable to hiken. Their firepower is comparable to eachother. Unless luffy could use both EGG and entei at same time(doubt it). The pros of getting it is basicly flashier attacks and logia defense which is pretty good for canceling other haki like Akainu does with his magma logia defense. The cons of this is that it won't be that much of a powerup like I listed above.

What makes you think that he will be able to eat it in the first place. The only person that we have ever seen being able to use two DF has been BB and he didn't even eat the second fruit. As far as we know luffy would die if he ate it, he would probably destroy it so no one will have it or keep it on the ship in a safe place as a token of memory of his brother.

1. Blackbeard is chimera / Cerberus .. it's an old theory ...BB has weard body?

2. you can eat more than 1 devil fruit if it's not same type

like you can have Paramecia + Logia would work but you can't use Paramecia + Paramecia or Zoan + Zoan

the only reason this fruit was shown was becaue someone is going to eat it. Its luffy brothers power. essentialy its a part of ace. And luffy wont let anyone have it. to say he would just destroy it or throw it in the ocean would defeat the whole purpose of getting it in the first place and be an insult to Ace. He either eats it or keeps it safe forever..

I don't think anyone can see Luffy being a Logia, it's just not the type of fighter he is. That's why I think his DFs will blend themselves together or something, making him have the tangibility of a Zoan or Paramecia, but his body would possibly look like Marco's. And now my dream moves for Luffy seems even more realistic <3

I really wouldn't mind either way if he does get it I think it would be very cool but if doesn't then that's fine to. But I could totally see him getting the same way he got the Gum Gum be pure accident I can see him thinking it's just some fruit & eating it & I can also see maybe Dolflamingo tricking Luffy into eating it thinking it will kill him but instead he gains the power.

But I don't think Luffy is on Admiral level yet nor do I think he's on Yonkuo level either & this would be the perfect way to give him this kind of power up.
