[Discussion] Luffy needs a higher bounty

I can't be the only one who thinks that Luffy's bounty should be higher than Captain Kid/Law.

What Luffy has done and who he is.

He is the son of the most wanted man in history, he grew up together with The Pirate king's son, he has beaten several Shichibukai, he has declared war against the world government, he took down Enies lobby, he attacked a Celestial Dragon, he escaped the greatest prison ever created and he escaped 3 admirals, first Kuzan when he was trying to kill Robin, he escaped from Kizaru when he was trying to kill him at Sabaody Archipelago and then he escaped from Akainu in the headquarters of the Marines and yet he only has 400 000 000 bounty.

What has Law/Captain Kid done to earn higher bounty than Luffy who is clearly more dangerous to the World Government.

In my opinion, Luffy's bounty alone should be 500 000 000+​

Plus luffy isn't an ordinary pirate. He doesn't kill innocent ppl and Rob stores n shit .
He actually is a nice guy who fights to protect his friends n really just minds his own business.

Well eautass kid has a higher bounty then luffy in those two years. But he's killed innocent ppl were as luffy actually does the opposite.

Anyway say if luffy has a bounty of 1billion n gets captured you honestly think the world governmen is going to pay off someone like that ... The dragons are the most selfish ppl on the seas

I prefer it to remain this way. It's his subordinates bounties that should increase. Something like 300 millions difference over the second highest bounty in his own crew(Zoro's) is too big already. The worse thing is that defeating Doflamingo may actually even increase that gap

Compared to Sanji, Luffy's bounty is decent. Poor Sanji doesn't even have a photo on his poster and bounty less than 80 million. He should be 250+ easy. Luffy should be 500+ after this arc.

Chopper's bounty could be a running gag with the assumption of him being a pet. He could get an increase by 10 Beli.

I forgot who told me that after 300 millions beli, it supposedly is getting harder to increase the amount. Perhaps after Luffy defeated Doffy, the bounty will rise, unless they wanna hide such fact for some reason.

What i really wanna see first is Sanji's bounty. Want it to be increased.

That because Moria's loss was kept in secret from public by the WG+Marine, thus they had no reason to rise his bounty at that moment so Kuma got sent there to finish 'em off in Thriller Bark.

I honestly believe Ussop should get a higher increase compared to his current bounty as opposed to Luffy and the rest of the crew. Luffy's bounty should increase but not by some crazy amount that alot of ppl are expecting like over 600mill. Around >535mil sound reasonable to me

I disagree with this sentiment. It should rise, but it shouldn't have some astronomical rise. I'd prefer a gag with a smaller than deserved bounty than a ludicrously high bounty despite not being a real threat. I could see his doubling to 60 million. But if he were to surpass anyone above him (or at least anyone above him who is on Dressrosa ==> Zoro, Robin, Franky) I'd be a little disappointed.

Somewhere near 60million wouldn't be bad for him.


OT:

Kidd: Civillian casualties. He's ruthless. That's why his bounty was already above Luffy's pre-skip.

Law: Sent the WG 100 hearts. Whatever the Rocky Port incident was. Getting the title "Surgeon of Death" could imply some other bad things. Considering his hatred of the WG... I'm sure the actions he's taken has affected the WG more directly than say Civillian casualties. This is the exact same reason Luffy has a high bounty... because he indirectly or directly fights the WG at times where they either are in his way or are corrupt (Striking Nezumi during Arlong, Ennis Lobby, War of the Best for Luffy). Law just had 2 years to play catch up.



Luffy has spent 2 years doing nothing which is why his hasn't gone up since the skip. But his actions gave him a bounty on par with what they did over 2 years.



I'm sure Luffy's bounty will grow. I expect the maximum it will reach is 550 million (Ace's bounty). I could see it being less though.
