No, Luffy doesn't need weapons and it would just be weird if he got one. Whenever Luffy acquires a weapons it's only temporary.

If there is a battle where Luffy used something and if you wanna consider it a weapon, it would be the golden ball against Enel. Other than that, Luffy is the One Piece version of Bruce Lee. Or Akuma (Street Fighter). Luffy’s fists know no limits.
