Before anyone brings up Big Mom's Yonko status and her DF, I want to repeat the Key Word being PHYSICALLY.

Alot of members question how Luffy and the SH's are going to win against Yonko level opponents.. the answer is through sheer will power and physical strength.

Luffy is physically stronger than Big Mom.

So if Luffy and the SH's can receive some help to fight against BM's DF powers (similar to Luffy having Mr. 3's candle wax help against Magellan... or like the help he received for the fight against Moriah... etc.) then Luffy can physically overpower BM and knock her ass out.

Big Mom's underlings are acting completely terrified from BM's eating disorder and mention how she will "continue to destroy".. now just imagine if they see the destruction capabilities of Luffy's G4/KKG.. lol the power difference is ridiculous.


So yeah, I'm saying it now, Luffy > Big Mom in terms of physical strength.

I'm not saying Luffy > Big Mom overall though.. cause obviously her DF powers have yet to be fully explained, but since she's a Yonkou, and from what we know so far, in overall killing/defeating an opponent ability it should be Big Mom > Luffy.

Because it most likely should revolve around her DF right? If so, then it doesn't have anything to do with her physical strength.. which I believe to be one of her lacking points.

Kaido is the biggest one who has me like "how is he going to be defeated?" Lol


And I think Haki is going to be the biggest role when it comes to Blackbeard's defeat.. that somewhat goes hand in hand with will power, at least Conquerors Haki that is..

Before asking if Luffy can defeat Big Mom, you have to ask if this is even the time for Luffy to be able to defeat a Yonkou. Currently on Whole Cake Island, he has half his crew, as well as Carrot and Pedro, and possibly Jimbe. This isn't the kind of team that can defeat a Yonkou. With Luffy, the strongest of the group, currently struggling against Cracker, its hard to see how they can possibly win. Before they can defeat Big Mom, they have to beat the other sweet commanders, and we aren't even sure if Luffy can defeat the first one.

Also you have to take into account their goals here; Get Sanji, steal Poneglyph, leave. They aren't aiming to take down Big Mom. Compared to Wano Kuni, where they will have the full crew, assuming nothing goes wrong on WCI, as well as the minks, Marco, Law, a ****ing Ninja, and actually be trying to take down Kaido, it's much more likely they would be able to take down Kaido there.

I can see it going either way tbh.. However, I never said that I think Luffy will defeat Big Mom right now. I'm just saying how it can happen, if it's set up properly.

I mean we always have to take into consideration how Oda writes certain arcs.. we can't completely rule out the idea of another party helping out Luffy and the SH's during this arc.. we have no clue who is all going to attend this wedding after all.

But I do like the way you talk about their goals and the Wano arc.. and I would also agree that if they can successfully complete their WCI goals without any unnecessary fights, then yeah now wouldn't be the right time for Luffy to bring down the Yonkou BM..

Nice idea.. I'll give you that.. but I'm gonna go with what we have so far, and like I said in the OP I'm just simply calling this now. I think Big Mom's DF is what makes her truly scary to others, but I really feel like she's lacking in physical strength.

Not necessarily. I guarantee a person while focused can do more harm to you than if they were just mindlessly flailing their arms around.

To an opponent specifically yes but if Luffy went on an all out rampage wouldn't his hits be harder than his focused punch just not accurate enough to fight an opponent with? I would argue most times when that's the scenario that's also the case.
