[Question] Luffy able to defeat Burgess?

In regards to this question, I don't think he would be able to take down Burgess just yet. From what we've seen in the war, they're not too far off from admiral level strength, and I doubt that he'll be able to defeat him. If he does, it will incredibly stupid considering he would now be essentially very close to Admiral level.

Why do you think Burgess is Admiral level? All he did during the war was get smashed by Sengoku. If he's considered Admiral level just by being in the war, shouldn't Luffy be considered the PK by now?

Luffy on par with rayleigh? Are you serious? Luffy is not even close to rayleigh, rayleigh is one of the strongest people alive.

I see power ups coming. Luffy gets a power up first otherwise it would be weird with the first mate or Chef being stronger than the captain. I think Burgess is roughly midway between Doflamingo and Luffy in strength ( Doflamingo is just below Admiral tier and above the OP Vice Admirals such as Momonga)

Luffy unknowingly uses gear 4th vs Burgess? It's a good possibility. Or a full body Busoshoku haki and flames combination. That would be damn cool.

Zoro could unlock Conquerers haki ( lacking control of course ) in Wano and learn to cut anything from any distance? He can be put under pressure and then unleash a new level of haki ( to nearly Luffys level ) or open his eye ( if its actually there ) to unleash his full strength.

In Kanokuni Sanji could use Busoshoku Haki for the first time and accidentally use rankyaku and do it with fire. He needs some distance attacks. He could also gain incredible Kenbonshoku haki and dodge "everything" like Mani Pacquiao

Burgess gets stomped. Ace solo'd BB's crew (before plot came in) Burgess got brushed off easily. Current Luffy beats Burgess.

Anyways, I hope Burgess will be Franky's opponent, in the end. They have similar body types and both are bruisers.

On what grounds would Burgess be admiral level? He - along with rest of blackbeard crew - were utterly fodderised by Magellan in impel down. Luffy can beat him, and it would not be any problem whatsoever. It's about time he gets one on the blackbeard pirates. It wouldn't be nice if Burgess got the mera mera no mi.

That said, we have no real knowledge about Burgess, his abilities, and how much stronger he got in these 2 years. So we will just have to see. Tbh I think Quinjao is the 2nd strongest in this tournament. He seems to have everything, and he had an incredible bounty. But obviously, it would not make that much sense, if he is the 2nd strongest next to Luffy, as the next battles will be kinda mehh, then. Unless they just have counter abilities or something.
