I doubt it's real. Seems like something only an extremely wise, beast person would be able to do. Like a monk or anyone with great control over his brain.

There are people who claim that it is. I'm confident there are websites that can give you tips on how to do so...just do not delve too far into your unconscious if you decide to lucid dream.

If you ever had a dream where you were in control of what you did and created an environment on desires, that's lucid dreaming. I remember this particular dream where i was playing basketball. It felt so real since i was missing some shots. I had full control of my arms and legs. Then after a while some military came, i guess the part where your dream tries to take over since i didn't have full control. They started to fire upon my friends on the court. Mind you, i didn't know any of them. Weird but I remember the court being fully fenced and around 15 feet high. No way to escape besides the entrance where they were coming in. I've never flew before and I've thought about it out of fear, as i was climbing the fence I just jumped upwards and started to fly. Flew right out of there before any shots got to me. Then i just flew out into the world. Best dream I've ever had. It was also the only dream in which i was able to do so.

oh yeah dude I've had two or three. my trick is to look at your hands before you go to bed. really get the image in your head. the shapes size and length of it you know. an then in the dream if you look at your hands they'll be all messed up. your fingers will be weird lengths or may be swollen. and that's your identifier, your reality check that says to you "hey I'm dreaming" and then just remain calm

when ever I realize I'm in a dream I always try to jump and fly, it hasn't worked all the time. some times I'll just jump. or like I'll try to pull a sword out from behind my back and sometimes it works and other times it doesn't

is sleep paralysis different from lucid dreaming????
Sleep paralysis seems kinda scary

Isn't lucid dreaming where you pick what you dream about? And sleep paralysis is where you feel as if you're being held to your bed and can't move. Never had either, just heard about 'em.

I have had Lucid dreams before although rarly, it usually happens when I am already dreaming and then come to teh realasation within the dream that "I am in a dream."

after that happens I tend to dream I habve god like powers and can do anything/everything
but at times I simply dream of being reborn in the narutoverse meeting my hero's and preventing deaths of some charecter's whom i wish lived longer so sad yet satifying<3

it's weird, it kinda takes a lot of practice before you can create a world in your dreams in a conscious way

yeah, it is. That's why you don't do that sh*t. I think it's the stage where you slip out of the dream, and unconsciously wake without your body realizing that your awake. lucid dreaming is where you chose your dream and control all the events by shear will. If your in a dream, and you realize your in a dream try willing things to your ability without straining yourself. *don't try it too often or you'll start to become restless. but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty fun.*

Edit: hope this help's your curiosity pal.

Hello Seraphim! I find your name very cool btw :3

And yes, Lucid dreaming is very much real. I myself, have done Lucid dreaming many times now, and I must tell you, it all comes down to when you are ready and pretty much, at random. When you lucid dream your sub-conscious (the strongest thing in the world) snaps you back to reality while you are still sleeping, thus you realize it is a dream. Once you do, everything changes (sometimes) and you now have FULL control over anything you do. It is pretty fun when lucid dreaming. You can pretty much do anything your heart desires since the sub-conscious doesn't know what it can't do, making you able to do anything. Remember, this IS your reality as this is your mind and YOUR world. I have shapeshifted (just started) fly, and I have shot beams and controlled objects with my hands. It is all of the matter of your mind. the more you Lucid Dream, the more tame your sub-conscious becomes and the easier it is to do the next time. To do these things though, it';s more of a matter of "don't think and do" instead of "thinking and doing" it will come natural (and this may sound corny) if you believe and that is the key.

You see, for most Lucid Dreaming is very random and LOTS never get it on the first try. They say you have to have a strong mind, and one with an imagination (it helps). Anyone can do it, it just takes time and patience to learn. i have heard there are certain vibration noises that help awaken the mind to let it lucid dream better :3 If you ever want to try, give it a shot, you have nothing to loose! Good Luck :3

I have had a lucid dream twice. I didn't do something to get it, I just realized in the middle of a dream that I was dreaming and from there on, I chose what I would do next.
