most of you have heard of this purchase already, i think this could be great for Indiana Jones and the Star Wars franchises.

with Star Wars they cant continue with Luke because balance has been brought to the force, no more dark side, unless they continue on without it, which would be boring in my opinion. perhaps they can start a new saga, one that predates the original. start off where the dark side is discovered and the sith "religion" comes into fruition. a jedi master had discovered this and falls for his new power and persuades others to join him and his former student stands up to him with the other masters. or other possible stories. im not educated in the star wars lore

Indiana Jones could start off with Indie passing down his hat and whip to one of his archaeology students, because there are more legends out there they could do. Harrison Ford could still be cast in it but with less adventures. a consultant for his student perhaps.

what are your thoughts on this purchase? could this what these franchises needed?

star wars universe is huge. "luke brought balance to the force?" there is no such thing. there are countless novels after the movies and things get pretty messed up.

story of star wars won't end. as of now the farthest story took place in 137 aby (after the battle of yavin which took place in the "new hope") with the grand-grandson of luke leading.
and before the movies there's a solid history of 5000 years and the rising of the force happened about 36500 years ago.

the thing is cast has gotten older. so it'll be hard to put them in movies. of course there are stories matching their current age but they'll have to skip many important pieces and the ones didn't read the novels and comic books won't uderstand most of it.

the best thing is to wait and see what'll come up.
