I agree that LTTE was a terrorist organisation and Prabhakaran was dangerous for your country. Your government dealt with it -fine by me. But his 12 year old son was by no means retarded or killed by his father as were many others just for being a Tamil.

Let's be honest and courageous enough to accept this truth that he was killed for being his father's son. That many in administration/military/government are hardcore enough not wanting to stop at bare minimum.

You cannot deny that the root of this problem was discrimination of Tamil population and heavy loss in jobs and job opportunities since independence.

I will leave the riots like Gal Oya out. There may always be two sides of story and local mistakes.

I will also drop the problem arising with the Sinhala Only act of 1956 which forced thousands of Tamil civil servants to resign due to lack of fluency in Sinhala. For much of the 1960s the prbomlems continued despite partial improvements in 1958. It wasn't fixed till 1987 but yeah fine. I understand you were looking for the uniformity and might not have recognized the problems which arose.

But how will you defend the discrimination of Tamils in education and jobs? Why introduce a double standard for admission grades to universities, requiring the Tamil students to achieve higher grades than the Sinhalese students? Why adopt a similar kind of policy for jobs as public servants? The 70% majority should not be afraid of open competition and merit, or should it?

I can go on but you get the picture. I understand that some of the problems you inherited from colonial rule still your own government gave the separatists enough fuel.

What's done is done but you cannot make people support you by posting same threads over and over and calling everyone who opposes you as a terrorism supporter on a manga forum.

Do not forget the Tamils civilians were often used as human shield by LTTE and got targeted by government as well. They suffered from both and millions had to leave their home and and take refuge all over the globe. At some places they were able to integrate, at others they still hold refugee status.

For them there is no difference between you and LTTE for neither gave them a respite and now as major threat of LTTE is gone you guys need to move on too.

You cannot expect to win Tamils by continuing targeting them but by making them feel safe and welcome. Take responsibility where you have crossed the limit yourself and clean you own home. Aren't enough people dead already and hate to last a few births? Don't fan it at this forum.
