Why even make this thread if it is normal Perfect Cell. This is the Cell that fought Gohan and was getting fodderized. Super Perfect Cell was the Cell that came back after blowing up Goku and did not have 18 in him. This one fought on par with Gohan when he was at his strongest point being a SSJ2.
why cant cell just blow himself up vs broly and become spc mid fight?
That's neat and all, but you forget when the movie took place in the DBZ timeline. Gohan was able to turn super saiyan giving the impression this happened during the 10 days before the Cell tournament. That means Broly was fighting the same power level Vegeta and Trunks.
vegeta and trunks had a second day in rosat. so no broly didnt fight the same z fighters cell did
Also Broly can survive in space too. He is the only Saiyan that can

. Broly was able to fight off multiple Super Saiyans, and even though Goku ended up taking the win by the end, Broly overpowered his opponents for a while and Goku still needed plot power to really take the win there.

gohan got back up like nothing happened and unleashed full power kamehameha to kill broly. so he couldnt have been owned.
it wasnt the same gohan who fought dabura given the saiyan's ability to keep getting strongerr after every difficult battle. also he was much less angry at dabura than at broly, and was only using ssj1 on dabura. goku did not say this. he only estimated daburas strenght before seeing him fight at all

Fact Cell is not stronger than SSj2 but Broly is (As proven in Broly - second coming - movie) So Broly would simply beat Cell
cell would blow himself up and gain ssj2 gohan level power via saiyan cells. and theres no such thing as "stronger than ssj2" since ssj2 is a form not a power level. unless your saying gt gokus ssj2 is equal to buu arc gohan's
