Guys, I'm I the only one getting fed up with the emo nonesense? ''Kill your brother or kill yourself''? what kind of reasoning is that! Oh and I'm going to flee the village because I can't get what I want? Don't get me started on sasuke too. Why does everything have to have egotism as the root cause? On another note why did hashirama not tell madara to eff off instead of (attempting to) willingly kill himself before his brother! bloody emos

Honestly, it's not a hard concept to understand. Well if Hashirama wasn't prepared to kill his brother then it would have just been hypocritical. It's like saying "If you want me to live with the people who murdered my brother then you are going to have to murder your brother so you know what it is like". Madara was testing Hashirama's resolve, and judging whether he truly meant what he said or if he was just being a hypocrite or not. And Madara offered him to kill himself because he was sympathetic (Despite Tobirama being the one who killed his brother).

I want world peace and for all wars to end as well, does that make me emo?

Well sure, no one is denying that. I'm all for characters like oro, kabuto, itachi etc. Their story makes the manga great.
