Love pours into my veins
It's the strongest of all pains...
That have plagued my frail heart
To all ends, from the start.
I've not seen it, but I felt it's poisonous sting,
Sometimes I can't stand it, but sometimes it makes me sing.
Sometimes I crave it, to make myself strong;
But little do I know each time, that it's very wrong.
Love's a revolting beast, and it's always thirsty,
It devours from the inside, and it shows no mercy.
I see it all around, in both young and old,
It controls our hearts and minds, and we do what we're told.
All it ever left behind, were huge scars and holes,
It shattered my heart, and crumbled my soul.
But I'm hooked on it for life, and I know it too well;
It tore down my walls, it dissolved my shell.
For long I have been falling, from the clouds above,
Now it appears I've landed in a turbulent sea of love.
It's the strongest of all pains...
That have plagued my frail heart
To all ends, from the start.
I've not seen it, but I felt it's poisonous sting,
Sometimes I can't stand it, but sometimes it makes me sing.
Sometimes I crave it, to make myself strong;
