Imo love is more important. Money cannot buy everything in this world. But love and social contacts can make your life colourful. Even though you're a beggar, having someone to love makes you work hard to achieve success but the same can't be said for money though.
You get money, you become arrogant,angry and whatnot. Love makes you humble and kind.

There are plenty of places that function in tribes where they hunt, harvest and gather food from the area around them. It takes work, but u won't starve if u choose to live off the land.
