It does happen more than a lot of ppl think. This is the age of social media! I know several ppl who followed someone on twitter who followed someone else then that person followed them and they hit it off and decided to meet with that mutual friend and ended up dating.

Less complicated version: A is friends with B who is friends with C and A saw B tweeting to C so A followed C and they began talking...

The thing is, you have to watch out for that in person too. These days you just never know.

Love knows no bounds, but having a relationship over the Internet can be quite risky.
Not only do you have to worry about who exactly you're talking to, but you might end up with trust issues because the two of you are so far away from each other.

Nonetheless, if two people are committed enough and it's genuine love, then there's a chance it can actually work. I've seen it happen, but most online relationships end after a year or so.
