Tsunade POV
Moving to his side I start healing his hands in silence. His hands we rough, uneven but soft – a hand of a man now – I thought. Looking up at him I finally had to admit this is not the young boy who I met all those years ago. He had grown up, grown through pain and disaster. Not many could have become what he had. Feeling proud of him. I mumble out “No… I want you to keep on going Naruto… By the sounds of it you have been keeping this inside too long…. Let it all out…” He stared at me a while before asking again “You sure Baa-chan?? Because once it is started, it won’t finish until it is finished…”

Normal POV
Taking a big breathe he let it in a long sigh out. “Baa-chan… I don’t know how to start…. I hate myself for what I have done to her. She was there all the time. I turned my back on her….” Looking out of the window he continued “I… I started dating Sakura without a thought… Didn’t even bother talk to her… Didn’t even consider her feelings… She probably hates..”
Suddenly stopping he turned to the door, glancing back at her and in a calm tone he said “Someone is coming…” Quickly shifting back away from her, he quickly brought his hood up to cover his hair. Reaching into his cloak, he brought out a mask with which he covered his face – just in time as the person opened the door and rushed in. It was Shizune. After catching her breathe she said “Tsunade-sama. The team that you sent a week ago to the southern border on the fire country has sent up an emergency signal. We just received a message from them just now by messenger hawk from a nearby outpost. They are heavily under attack from a group of missing nins – with abilities that we haven’t seen since Orichimaru…. One of them is badly injured and they need support immediately”
Tsunade turned around to look at Naruto now hidden behind the mask with wide eyes. “I sent Team 8 – didn’t I Shizune??” Finally noticing the other presence in the room Shizune turned to look around to see a man with a Fox mask covering his face… She saw his surprised sharp blue eyes gazing back to both of them before he disappeared in a yellow flash – leaving nothing behind except a piece of paper. Looking at Tsunade with questions in her mind, she bent down to pick the smoking piece of paper. It had one simple message… “I will be back…” she breathed out “Nee-chan…”
Normal POV – With Hinata and her team at the Outpost
Dodging shurikan and Kunai sent her way, Hinata look across the field to those enemies rushing at her. Stepping into the stance that had been literally drilled into her since she could walk, she sprang through the enemies rushing at her avoiding and placing fatal hits - here and there with her Jukken. Behind her – her opponents crumpled to the ground.
Breathing heavily, she looked through the clearance to see that her team mates were becoming more and slower. Kiba was holding his hand to a gash across his chest, trying to staunch the bleeding while evading attacks from another missing nin with Akamaru. Shino was assisting the other ninja from the outpost. Two of them now were injured badly and the other barely keeping up to help Shino out. They were all tired, and they were out numbered as more kept on rushing into the clearing.
Sensing someone behind her, she turned around to see two katanas flashing towards her. Dodging the first and second blows, she barely deflected the next blows with her air palms and was pushed to her knees – leaving her helpless to defend herself from the next attack coming towards her. She closed her eyes, unable to meet the inevitable. A teardrop fell from her eyes….
Hinata POV
I turned around to see two katanas flashing towards me. Dodging the first and second blows, I was barely able to bring my hands up to deflect the blade with my air palm. Chakra? There was chakra in that attack? No wonder... I thought as I was pushed to my knees, just as I saw another blade flashed towards me I knew… I knew there was no way I could evade or deflect it. Closing my eyes to the inevitable.
Tears stung my eyes as I thought of the blond-haired being that captivated my heart… The one who I would never see ever again… Naruto-kun I am sorry…. I guess I won’t be seeing you again…. I just wish I could see your smile again… I hope you are safe and happy Naruto-kun…. Please take care of yourself Naruto…

I waited for the pain and end of my life…. I heard the sound of the blade hitting into flesh. Blood splashed into my face…. But the pain never came… I opened my eyes…. To see what surprised me the most in all my life…. A man standing over me… Protecting me with his own body…. Looking up to see his face – I saw it was covered with a fox mask. What caught my attention were the ocean blue eyes that stared down into my eyes…. Love, care and worry were in those eyes…. “Hinata-chan… are you ok??”
