Love for Hidan, an odd villain

Once I made a thread called love for pain and I think Hidan deserves one too! Yesterday on m thread asking about Kakuzu, Shino and Hidan fans, many people said Hidan was annoying and didn't deserve it???

He is not an honorable ninja like Jiraya, Minato, but none of the Akatsuki were (Including Oro, excluding Itachi), and still have many people that like them. I think Hidan is underrated . If you don't have much information about him, you're in serious trouble, as he just needs a drop of your blood, and it would be game over.

He was able to beat the two tails alone... Only few ninjas are mentioned to be able to face a Bijuu, and he does it in a close combat!!! Killed Asuma easily, could have killed the others too, but as you all know, this is anime. So I would say he is a top 25 at least.

Important mentions:
-In battle, Hidan was shown to be very skilled in taijutsu.
-Extremely agile, having tremendous acrobatic prowess and dexterity in avoiding attacks.
-He was exceptionally skilled at wielding his weapon, capable of deflecting a swarm of shuriken thrown at close-range. He has also demonstrated tremendous aim and control of where and how it will strike, making it highly difficult for his opponents to predict the weapon's path.


List of the ninjas he could beat:

• Kakashi... if he could get the blood from the two tails, wouldn't he be able to get blood from Kakashi too? I mean the Kakashi from the time Hidan appeared. Other teams leaders too (naruto part 1).
• Tsunade... again just a bit of blood would be enough, and tsunade being a close combat ninja, would be easier.
• Hanzō of the Salamander... his poison wouldn't bother Hidan.
• Ninjas like Neji, Sai, Hinata etc
• Kabuto, well he could defeat Kabuto, but not in his prime.
• Probably the second and third hokage, as again, all he needs is a bit of blood and game over! (this if these hokages didn't have information about him)
• Zabuza
• Jinchuuriki Gaara, and some other Jinchuuri
• Danzo
• Also ninjas like darui and Karin, etc
• Many more

Maybe Naruto too, before learning to manage chakra and not being careful (has changed now).
This was a quick list, and my opinion. And again, I should mention, Hidan fought the 2 tails face to face, the Juubi are the most feared in their village, and I repeat, only few ninjas can face them, most of them have not a close combat fight.

Hanzo's poison would still immobilize Hidan & because Hidan is immortal he would be in in constan't pain because of the poison. Allthough he may get off to that now that i think about it.

I loved him as an akatsuki member and hated it when he and Kakuzu died in a trollway ..

Aside from that I don't agree with him being able to defeat the 2nd and 3th Hokage, as well as Gaara : his sand will always protect him from his blade + he'll burry him forever

off topic: Am I the only one who thinks Hidan & Kakuzu where not trolled?

I mean Shikamaru fought Hidan once before and being the genius he is of course he would find a way to defeat him. Not to mention They are around the same level of skill seeing as how Hidan only has that curse jutsu.

And when it come's to Kakuzu everyone makes mistakes so what if he was fooled by a shadow clone? its a legit loss.

Madara and Orochimaru seems more "humanized" than Hidan, Oro only turned into a bad egg because his parents died and became obsessed with immortality, he even shed a tear when Tsunade was mourning the death of her lover. Madara did bad things for his devotion to his clan who shunned him in the end leading to his new found philosophy of a perfect world without winners or losers. Hidan on the other hand revels in bloodshed for the sake of bloodshed alone.

Forgot about the sand, but still Jinchuuriki Gaara would transfor so it would be easier

As said in the link I mentioned, his immortality made him arrogant and not care about the opponent strategy, because if he really wanted he would beat shikamaru. But well, isn't shikamaru one of the most intelligent in konoha, he took advantage of hidan's arrogance

He should be there for longer, like Kisame!Maybe Kishi only made him to have another baddie for the akatsuki, but it would be great if his story was more developed
