Favourite book from the three: "The Two Towers".
And I like LOTR and HP equally, they are too different in their essence to be compared in my opinion.
btw, nice Mononoke signature

The two towers. I prefer the Hobbit but out of the trilogy my favourite is the two towers.

I do enjoy reading HP, but overall I much prefer LOTR. It's just so rich in lore, and I always learn something new. I've read the the Hobbit, the trilogy, and the smarillion but I need to read the other books.

Agh this is a tough one >_<
I'll just say I love all of them equally, but if I had to choose in a life and death situation (LOL) then I'd choose the Return of The King
And In my opinion, Harry Pails in comparison with Tolkien's work.

LOTR was not written as a trilogy it was written as one book but was split into three books because of the original publisher and one of the reasons was a shortage of paper after the 2nd world war, and the book actually consists of 6 (what Tolkien calls) Books

But I can tell you my favorite chapter which is The Council of Elrond (book 2 chapter 2) (the second would be The Shadow of The Past (book 1 chapter 2)) though overall I prefer the ending of the story to the beginning but the ending is spread over many chapters

And there is no doubt that LOTR is the better book
