Life was slow as a up and coming villain. Captain Cold was still trying to understand how to use and control his powers but until then, he had to resort to the petty crimes he used to commit early on in his career. Right now he was in line in a gaming store to buy a copy of a the new Grand Theft Auto game for a minor but he had no intention of paying for the game when he could steal it and make an even greater profit. Just then he notices someone purchasing the penultimate copy of the game he was sent in here to buy. He was at the back of the line and with thirteen people in front of him, someone was bound to take the final copy before him. There was only one thing to do.
Cold slips out of the line and casually works his way towards the fire alarm, being as inconspicuous as possible. When no one is looking, he triggers the fire alarm and everyone falls into a panic. The clerk over the megaphone keeps saying "I repeat this is not a drill, please make your way to the exit swiftly and safely!". He says it three times for good measure before abandoning his post at the till and joining the rest of the crowd in trying to flee. Pathetic.
People begin rushing for the doors all at once. Due to the amount of people in the store and everyone trying to leave at once, the main entrance/exit is completely congested and a veritable stampede ensues. Amidst all the chaos and confusion, people drop their items and some of their valuables. Cold wastes no time scavenging everything he can before nicking the case of the final copy off the shelves and the CD to accompany it from behind the till. While there he uses his expertise in thievery to open the till and loot it of all the dollars he can find. Not a bad haul considering the nature of the job.
He then decides to reward himself by stealing the recently purchased copy of GTA V off of the guy who bought the penultimate copy.
"Hey! That guy stole my game!"
The combined noise of the crowd and the alarm makes it too difficult to hear what the guy is saying but Cold can pretty much guess. Poor fool. Even if anyone could hear him, who would care in a situation like this? Regardless Snart wastes no time heading out the back exit and out of the building. Why was no one exiting out the back? Apparently people did become mindless animals when faced with danger.
Cold then meets the kid he stole the game for a few blocks away and gives him it. He then goes home and counts his money while thinking up his next scheme on how he could best exploit the suckers out there. Until then, he plays his copy of GTA V and decides to settle for being a criminal in the virtual world until something better presents itself.
"All about the score" he mutters to himself
