Mission Name: Occupy the Zoo
Alignment: Hero
Type: Solo/Counter/Initiative - (Solo)
Rank: C
District: Financial
Description: Several gorillas, lions, tigers, and other dangerous animals have all escaped from the zoo. The local police aren't really equipped to handle this -- all the animals need to be safely brought down through non lethal methods. After the animals are subdued, they should be returned back to the zoo, so that they can be put back in their respective pens.

Reward: 20 EXP

It was a nice relaxing day in NBVille. Jay was walking through the streets of the Financial District on his way to the bank. He was carefree, with his hands on his head as he looked up at the clear blue sky while smiling. He took in a deep breath and continued on his way. As he was walking by nonchalantly, he noticed a gorilla race down the street. Jay smiled and chuckled at the sight.

"Ah yes. Be free Harambe. Be free." said Jay.

As he continued walking down unsuspectingly, he finally had a moment of realization and did a double take, looking back at the gorilla running the streets.

"What's going on here?!" Jay exclaimed.

A pedestrian nearby told Jay about how the several animals from the zoo escaped and are now running through the streets, with cops trying to subdue the situation, except all they can do for now is try and protect the citizens. After hearing this, a few police cars came racing down the streets with their sirens blasting. Jay was not about to let his city and its inhabitants get hurt. With that, Jay raced down and followed the cops.

"It's hero time!" Jay yelled with a smile on his face.

HALF A MILE JOG LATER...

Jay was panting extremely heavily, obviously a sign that he needed to improve his cardio. He had finally caught up with the gorilla who was now holding a child next to him, in what seemed to be a nonthreatening manner.

"Oh no! Déjà vu! I gotta stop this before—" Jay was interrupted by his own tragic memories of what happened not too long ago on the news. Thinking quickly, Jay grabbed a pile of bananas at the nearby produce stand and waved it at the gorilla. Stereotypically, the gorilla got the scent of the banana and had it's attention turned to it. It would release the kid while ever so slowly inching forward towards the banana Jay held in his hand. As he arrived a few feet from Jay, Jay would slowly begin to lower the bananas down. Little did Jay know their was a banana truck right behind him, with the door wide open. The gorilla's eyes showed signs of loved and immediately began racing in pursuit of the truck. Jay instinctively reacted by turning around and running for his life from the rampaging gorilla.

With everything he could, Jay reached out to the truck and grabbed the handle of the back door and managed to jump on. Now able to catch his breath, he kept an eye on the gorilla following close by. After seeing the path they were taking, Jay realized they'd be passing the zoo very soon. As such, Jay took out a banana and peeled it open. As soon as he saw the truck pass the intersection before the zoo, he tossed the banana towards the gorilla as he was running. As it watched the banana though, Jay dropped the peel on the ground, which the gorilla would slip on and fall. With his proper timing, the gorilla fell right in front of the entrance to the zoo, as Jay tucked and rolled off the truck. The local zoo keepers were quick to take care of the gorilla and place the gorilla back in the pen, not even noticing Jay as they were doing so. Just as Jay raised his arms high to cheer, the zookeeper spoke.

"Alright guys! We got the gorilla back! All we need are those 6 jungle cats! One lion, tiger, cheetah, leopard, jaguar, and panther and we're all good to go! I hear they're over on 5th and Welsh." The zookeeper said.

Naturally, Jay's happiness was short-lived after overhearing this. He sulked for a moment before taking in a deep breath. At least this time he knew what to do. He took out his phone and began to dial.

"Hey, is there any way you can meet me over by 4th and Welsh?"

ONE PHONE CALL & A FEW INTERSECTIONS LATER

Jay waited for a moment and saw a car pull up nearby. The window rolled down to show a middle-aged woman.

"Hi Auntie May. Did you get the stuff?" Jay said to the woman now revealed to be his aunt.

"Hi Jaden, my lovely little boy. I have it right over here. Why did you need this though, and so much of it?" His aunt inquired.

"Just trying to calm a few pets down is all. Nothing to worry about." Jay said to the woman now revealed to be his aunt.

With a smile on her face, she pulled out a giant bag and gave it to Jay. Jay waved at his aunt goodbye as he drove off. Sometimes, it was nice to have a old cat-lady as an aunt. As she left, he moved down one intersection where he heard all the commotion. The jungle cats were all in one location, growling at one another. Suddenly, they picked up the scent of Jay's bag and all turned to him. Jay held his breath and slowly walked closer to them. They all began to circle around him. When they were extremely close, Jay finally opened up the bag and revealed the contents, catnip and meat! He took out 6 chunks of raw meat and laced them with the catnip before tossing it to each of the jungle cats. They immediately began to devour their respective meals, which distracted them from Jay leaving their circular formation. Soon, the effects of the catnip would hit, and the cats suddenly became extremely drowsy.

Jay called in the zoo and told them the cats were all sleeping and needed to be picked up. By the time they arrived, the cats were down for the count and safely placed inside the van towards the zoo, but Jay was already out of the scene. He was actually inside the zoo before the zookeepers, checking to see that all the animals were back safe and sound. Jay had done good, and he was ready to do more.

Haha, clever work here, especially with the Harambe bit (rest her child dragging soul). Nice work, you didn't rely on your superpowers for this and that's commendable. Not sure if a Lion can be catnip'd but I feel there were some 'forign agents' in there to help put them to sleep :pkun:

? Anyway. Mission Passed: 20 EXP Awarded ?
