Gajeel is a tall and muscular man with long, spiky black hair, which is usually kept slicked back, revealing his forehead, red eyes with slitted dark pupils, and no visible eyebrows. Most of his exposed body is covered in sets of simple, round studs. The most visible studs are on his face, with three of them right above his eyes (acting as "eyebrows" of a sort), three on each side of his nose, and two on his chin, just below his mouth. His ears are adorned by two sets of five earrings each. He also sports four studs on each of his forearms, with his right one being covered in scars. Gajeel's usual outfit consists of a shabby, black, sleeveless tunic with studded edges, with a studded belt around his waist, loose whitish pants tucked inside studded black boots, and a pair of studded brown gloves paired with similarly studded wristbands. He also sports a distinctive wing-like ornament, seemingly made of feathers jutting upwards, over his right shoulder, attached to his tunic by a large stud
Personality:
Gajeel is has a short temper, seen when he and his friend Natsu bicker constantly over childish things. Like Natsu, Gajeel lives for the thrill of combat. Despite saying that he doesn't want to make friends, he tries in his own way to do so. However, he is completely and genuinely dedicated to which ever ally he is affiliated with. Despite his cold personality, he has shown a humorous side of himself. He likes to wonder by himself to do what he wants neither looking to good nor evil, just what he wants when he wants.

Origin Story: Gajeel was saved by an iron dragon thousands of years ago, the dragon used the last of it's magic to preserve Gajeel in a magic egg that opened 15 years ago when it was safe for him to walk among men. He grew up realising he had the power of the Iron dragon being able to use his Magic to create Iron and turn his body to iron. As well as eat it like the iron dragon. Dragon magic is ancient and no one knows how long it lasts or how it works.
History:
Gajeel was born long long ago, when there were only small settlements around the world and dragons existed. There was a big war between the dragons and the one who watched over Gajeels village was the Iron Dragon, Metallicana, who cared greatly for Gajeel as a baby. When the king of the dragons started his war (Achnologia) Metallicana tried to fight him off but was mortally wounded, he used the last of his magic to great an egg around Gajeel that would preserve him as a child for thousands of years. After this all the dragons fought among themselves and wiped themselves out so people only think of them as a myth, but behind every story their is truth.
Naturally the egg got burried but this place would later become know as NBville and when a constructed was digging he found the egg and it hatched revealing a baby Gajeel. His name was Tattooed on his body. The man rose Gajeel but died when he was 16. As Gajeel grew up he released he could use magic to create and control Iron in and over his body which he learned to use to his advantage. He would get into street fights with normal people placing bets on them but he would turn his body to iron so it was never a fair fight.
He now wonders NBville just doing what he wants fighting anyone that gets in his way.

Iron Dragon Slayer Magic (鉄の滅竜魔法 Tetsu no Metsuryū Mahō): Gajeel was taught how to use Iron Dragon Slayer Magic by Metalicana, The Iron Dragon (though memories placed into his brain years ago). As its name implies, Gajeel's particular Dragon Slayer Magic deals with the manipulation of iron. Gajeel eats iron to regain his own strength, and his teeth and jaw muscles are powerful enough to gnaw through solid metal with ease, even allowing him to eat the Magic-canceling metal of the Dorma Anim. Gajeel's Magic deals with producing multi-sized iron rods, as well as changing parts of his body into steel. Most of his attacks involve transforming his arms into blunt, metallic weapons, which he can do at will. Additionally, Gajeel may turn his iron into steel if he somehow becomes able to absorb trace amounts of carbon; said process is still toxic and harmful to his body as it would be to others, but the addition of the natural element changes the composition of his spells, allowing him to deal enhanced damage and/or break through defenses that his iron could not.
