Name: Doc B. Rock

Alignment: Good

Alias(es): Doc Brock | Dr. Stone

Secret Identity: Brock Mohs

Looks: Brock has white-blonde hair that stands tall on his head and darkens as it reaches the tips. He isn't a very large person, a bit shorter than average and not noticeably stocky.

Personality: As a fledgling scientist, Brock is highly analytical. He prefers to hang back and think of a thorough plan of action before jumping in. He hates to see innocent people being harmed and is willing to risk himself to protect them. He's a good guy.

Rank // History

Rank: One - Goody Two Shoes

Origin Type: Science

Origin Story: See History

History: Brock's father was a famous mineralogist who had traveled the world studying the earth and its different minerals. It appeared to be a fairly mundane job and Brock was often bored on the trips that he was allowed to follow along on. It was on one of these trips that Brock's father mysteriously disappeared. Months went by without a lead and eventually the search was called off, and his father was declared dead. At the funeral, Brock was approached by one of his father's assistants who presented him with a gift. She said that if anything were to have happened to his father this was what he wanted Brock to have. It was a palm-sized rock with brilliant green streaks the glimmered in the light. She told Brock that the only way to find his father was to follow that stone, and so that's exactly what Brock did.

He followed in his father's footsteps and became a mineralogist as well. Throughout his studies he tried to identify what the stone left to him was, but it was to no avail. The mineral of the stone was entirely unknown and standard diagnostics tools were ineffective. After graduating he decided to retrace his father's footsteps and look for more answers. He began to travel the world until he eventually reached his father's final location, Tibet. He was attacked and captured by a mysterious group calling themselves the "Philosophers" who demanded that Brock tell them the location of the Gaia. He of course had no clue what they were talking about and couldn't tell them what they wanted to know. Just before they decided to dispose of Brock, he was rescued by a woman. She defeated the Philosophers and guided Brock to safety, bringing him through a series of hidden tunnels until they reached a base of sorts.

The woman revealed herself and much to Brock's surprise it was his father's assistant, the one that had given him that gift years ago. Now that he had made it this far, she explained everything. His father was more than a mineralogist, he was an explorer searching for legendary gems and stones that had been lost to history. These stones went by many names, such as Philosopher Stones, or Mani Stones. They were powerful objects that could cause great harm if they fell into the wrong hands, such as the group that had attacked Brock. She then brought him to a statue of his father's likeness. It was incredibly detailed. Brock asked who made it and why, but the answer wasn't what he was expecting. The statue was his father. He had been developing a tool to manipulate earth when it backfired, and petrified him. The assistant explained that the stone she gave Brock those years ago was part of the larger stone that powered the tool, the Gaia Stone. The Gaia Stone was once called the Cintamani Stone, and it had a unique property which allowed it to resonate with and reconstruct mineral-based materials. The tool, called the Geomorphous, was what his father had developed to make use of the Gaia Stone.

She told Brock that she had continued to work on the Geomorphous, and corrected the fault that had caused the accident. But the tool was too complex for her to continue developing. She hoped that by bringing Brock into the fold he could continue his father's work and perhaps find a way to reverse the effects, as underneath the stone he was still alive. Brock of course could not run away from this opportunity to save his father, and thus he continues following in his father's footsteps. The Philosophers have shown themselves to be a threat to both Brock and people across the world, so as he continues to work on saving his father, Brock has also decided to defend the innocent from this would be threat and thwart them in their attempts to find other stones of power.

Abilities // Equipment

  • Strength: 2
  • Intelligence: 15
  • Speed: 2
  • Durability: 1
  • Energy: 0
  • Technology: 15
Power/Ability: Earth Animation (Gaia Stone)

Description of Powers: Brock's ability relies on the Gaia Stone infused Geomorphous that was originally developed by his father, who was a talented scientist in his own regard. The Geomorphous is an energy tool that is able to break down and reorganize the physical structure of mineral-based objects, while also giving them a very basic sentience. This can be used for things such as raising a golem from the ground or bringing a statue to life. Those constructs can then be used for battle or completing other tasks.

Weakness: Brock is a normal human who happens to have access to an advanced piece of technology. While he is somewhat smart, and a fledgling scientist of his own, without the Geomorphous he is very vulnerable.

Equipment: Geomorphous - This device was created by Brock's father, though it remains in prototype form. It uses a unique stone called the "Gaia Stone" to produce a greenish energy that can reshape and vitalize minerals. (To be submitted)

Technique Name: Geomorphous (Concept Stage)
Type: Technology
Rank: D
Range: Short
EXP: 5
Damage: 20%
Description: The Geomorphous is a tool created by Doc B. Rock's father which makes use of the Gaia Stone to manipulate earthen materials. Unfortunately his father experienced an unfortunate accident while the tool was still in its development stage, causing progress to halt. His trusty assistant continued his work but was only able to stabilize the tool rather than further it. It is at this conceptual stage that the tool came into Doc B. Rock's possession. By applying energy to the Gaia Stone which is set in the tool, a green energy is released that is capable of restructuring a source of earth. In this early stage the tool's general usage can do simple things like raise shields and pillars and similarly simple tools, not growing larger than a person. A more advanced usage of the tool allows Doc B. Rock to raise a single golem-like creature that is slightly larger than a human. The golem is quite simple and can only perform simple tasks like attack, shield, retrieve, etc. The golem is made with the following stats: 15 STR, 15 DUR, 4 SPD, 1 INT, 0 ENE, 0 TECH. Only one of these golems can be sustained at a time.
