Crocodile is a tall man with a wide chest, broad shoulders, muscular arms and legs, and a thick neck. He has pale skin and nape-length black hair which is kept neatly slicked back, though strands tend to fall in front of his face during battles. Crocodile has various battle wounds, most notably a long stitched scar at the bridge of his nose that stretches across his face and a large hook made from a tough gold alloy in place of his left hand. His eyes are deep-set and heavy-lidded, and his thin eyebrows are characteristically drawn upward in the middle. This gives his usual facial expression a feeling of condescension and distrust. Crocodile speaks with a deep, relaxed voice, and he is usually seen smoking a thick cigar produced by his company.

Crocodile is self-assured, confident in himself and in his abilities. He enjoys toying with weaker opponents, often grinning and laughing smugly during battle. His willingness to kill shows his pitiless nature, and he does not think twice about sentencing another person to death. He is also very quick to get angry if someone insults or ridicules him in any way. Despite his low tolerance for receiving insults, he has a habit of insulting others and frequently used the word "worthless" to refer to the desperate struggles of his enemies.

Origin Story: Crocodile gained his powers after eating the Sand-Sand Fruit, and has since, developed his powers greatly, branching from mere Sand manipulation.
History:
As a young child, Crocodile was ambitious and always sought to be Pirate King. His ambition became less when he lost to Whitebeard, and only after consuming the Sand-Sand Fruit, did Crocodile really become ruthless and dangerous. A true villain, Crocodile was not only smart, but powerful as well, being in control of a large criminal organization whilst lying to the common crowd that he was a hero.

After consuming the Sand-Sand Fruit,Crocodile had a great variety of abilities, rather than just normal elemental control. It also allows him to locate quicksand, set off sandstorms, and absorb liquids.
It allows the Crocodile to transform into sand at will, as well as control it. Crocodile has trained himself to transform into sand by reflex, and is thus capable of avoiding sneak attacks.
This fruit allows Crocodile to sense anything that is moving through sand (he uses his power to sense underground rivers that are flowing through the sand). Its power can also be honed to the point where he could also absorb the moisture from and dry anything he grasps, causing living things such as humans and plants to wither through dehydration, and also cause all other matter like rocks and land to crumble to dust and sand; only metallic or ferrous substances are immune to this dehydration effect.
Crocodile has the capability of creating a myriad of tools, weapons, structures of sand, create sandstorms, activate quick sands, and cause dehydration by physical contact. In addition, Crocodile has been shown to transform his entire body, and individual parts into sand in order to extend his reach for his hook, as a long range capture and strike method.
