Eh. This is Naruto though, and the basis of the story in how Naruto will grow, and Sasuke will grow equally (and vice versa).

It wouldn't make sense for Naruto to lose a powerup and then later not gain anything in return. That means Sasuke could take over the world if he wanted to, and Naruto would have a terrible time matching up to an advanced Sharinngan.

Does that make sense lol? He probably kicks Toneri's ass and gets it back. You know like "here it is... talk no jutsu saved my life." or what-ever BS is happening in that story to return it.
