I was wondering for a while, why are the Orcs in the Hobbit so huge and the Orcs in LoTR so small compared to em? Even the Uruk Hai in LoTR pale in comparison to the Orcs in The Hobbit, am I missing something? Are the Orcs in The Hobbit some OG orcs? Was it said anywhere in the books or movies that the newer Orcs were inferior to the older ones cause they were created whistle Saruman was at a weakened state or something?

Azog and Bolg are huge but even besides them every single Orc in The Hobbit is way bigger than an Uruk Hai and Orc from LoTR.

I'd appreciate any answers, hopefully I get some by the morning, deuces.

It's just my opinion that Peter Jackson started to go more overkill on CGI as the franchise went on. The 2nd Hobbit film, while it is a great movie, is just flooded with very obvious CGI. Azog and the such are bigger probably just to seem more intimidating.

In the Hobbit PJ uses the stupid CGI and makes the orcs look stupid and less real

To stay true to the original. They were large round and could fit a man up to the shoulders in its mouth. Same with the goblins but in the movie they had to show a difference in looks so viewers could distinguish between the two.

I think its because in the hobbit its always a dwarf or a gnome fighting them, so they seem really big. In the scenes with the elves, they seem more normal size.

In the original the elves were small like the dwarfs. Man was the tallest and could still have his head bitten off. Having said that I agreed with your statement as it relates to the movie.
