I think what Hidan and.his religion worshipped.was the Juubi. They were somehow able to harness Natural Energy and apply it to their bodies and this gave them immortality. They had some kind of scroll or tablets that had a vague.description of the Juubi and how it consists of Nature Energy, so they worshiped it.

Could be true- why not? I've also wondered about Hidan's "Lord Jashin" before. Altho, the world of Naruto and what happens to ppl when they die is still all pretty messed up. For example: The White Fang; Kakashi's dad had been sitting by a campfire till his son or somebody came along and told him that he was awesome and then he "passed on" Also, the path of Pain that took ppl's souls- where the hell did that come from again??? Then you've got the Impure World Resurrection jutsu that's bringing ppl back from the afterlife where they were presumably happy being dead.
All of this bring me to the Dead Demon Reaper Death Seal...... Who the hell is that Reaper guy again? You trade your soul to seal another person in a never ending battle or something another? Maybe "Jashin" is that reaper guy with the sword in his mouth....which is a pretty crappy place to keep a sword if you ask me! Looks cool but not really all that practical. Cut your lips off or your head in half if you tried to weild one like that! haha

I think the Reaper is just a chakra manifestation.

The only Zoro swordsman I recognize is the masked Mexican bandit! Lol
For real tho, I know who ur talking about and even thought of him while I typed that. I thought about poking fun at him because Im not a One Piece fan, but I respect aspects of the show and he is a cool character. I've tried repeatedly to get into it but while the story is serious, the characters goofy appearances throw me off. I dont mean any disrespect and I realize that all manga/anime characters look somewhat goofy or strange....but not OP strange! Lol
