Hidan always looked young even though I believe he was quite old probably older than Hashirama.
Hidan never used ninjutsu because he wasn't a chakra user unlike the rest of the NV, Hidan was a Vampire and he was using blood magic aka the techniques of Lord Jashin or the Evil God, all his moves involved using blood.
Because Hidan doesn't use chakra he can pretty much solo any of the akatsuki

Orochimaru is not immortal, he requires new bodies every once in a while. without those bodies he almost died many times!
