The Rinnegan is reputed as the most exalted eyes amongst the Three Great Dōjutsu (三大瞳術, San Daidōjutsu; Literally meaning “Three Great Eye Techniques”). It was said that in times when the world is in disorder, a person is sent down from the heavens to become either a “God of Creation” who will calm the world, or a “Destroyer” who will reduce everything to nothingness. The Rinnegan allows the user to use the Six Paths Technique.
the deva path - his ideology on spiral/anti spriral life. he is the balance between the push pull, therefore making that force, his control.
the asura path - spiral city/Lazengann
the human path - unknown (possible use as a biocomputer)
the animal path - beastmen
the preta path - chakra being spiral power which he demonstrates absorbing in his battle with simon
the naraka path - show with his red spiral power, rather than simons and laganns green spiral power, which is how spiral power appears throughout the series except for the spiral king. he uses the king of hells strength for hand to hand combat with the lagann.
the outer path - Nia and other dolls/beastmen creation/destruction
