I dont think these kids have kyuubi chakra at all. Like you said it just seems like a genetic trait becuase Naruto was born in a womb from a female who was a Jinchuriki. I remember the seal loosens during pregnancy, so it just seems to go through the generation. As seen with his children who have two, their children will have one, and their children won't have any.
