Kakashi is probably there to be a proud teacher and give us dialogue as they fight. Team 7 is about to demonstrate their true growth. I feel this is the case because he said remember the bell test and Madara is the bell holder (eyes).

I want him to help though so I hope he does.

I have a feeling that Kakashi will reveal some of his 1000 jutsu's that he so called learned. I want to see more from this guy, and since he doesn't have Kamui, I am more than pleased. He isn't even an Uchiha, so it makes sense for him to not have Sharingan. He was a Jonin at like age 6 right? and this was before he had Sharingan. Kakashi is plenty strong without it.

He got solo so many times already. If those tricks work, he would have done so long time ago

sadly this seems true unless some new enemy pops up like an army of enhanced black zetsus for Kakashi and Sakura to fight while Sauce and Nardo take on Madara
