hmm Bleach, Fairy Tail, Dragon Ball + Z, I dunno if it fits, but FMA + FMA: brotherhood. You'll have to watch a few episodes of each to make your own decision on whether or not you like them, and don't let anyone else sway your opinion.

plot:

Slam Dunk centers around Hanamichi Sakuragi, who starts as a delinquent outcast, becoming the leader of a gang. Hanamichi, being very unpopular with girls, has been rejected by them fifty times.

Yet, he finds out that Haruko Akagi is the girl of his dreams, and is happy when she's not scared of him like all the other girls he has asked out.

Haruko Akagi, who recognizes Hanamichi's athleticism, introduces him to the Shohoku (the school basketball team). Hanamichi was reluctant to join the team at first because he thought that basketball was a game for losers (also because the fiftieth girl rejected him for a basketball player). Sakuragi, despite his immaturity and hot temper, proves to be a natural athlete with potential and joins the team in order to impress Haruko and prove that he is worthy of her.

Four players join the team (not gonna spoil who and how) and together these four struggle to complete team captain Takenori Akagi's dream of making Shohoku the national champion. Together, these misfits gain publicity and the once little known Shohoku basketball team becomes an all-star contender in Japan.

If anybody is looking to try out a new anime Netflix has released the first season for Seven deadly sins. It's concept is good plus it does not take long to get you hooked. It's rather new but the manga has progressed fairly substantial.

Spoiler contains some people plus info. Only slight spoilers.

Seven deadly sins:

- Meliodas- captain of the sins
- Diana- a giant from one of the four clans
- Ban the undead- a human that is immortal
- King- another from one of the four clans
- Gowther- this character still has mystery but was created by a sorcerer.
- Merlin- not much to say as the name should give it away although female version.
- Esconbar- apparently the strongest of the sins well maybe
