looking back on the great sage toad prediction.. we overlooked it?

Looking back in some old chaps i came across the sage toad prediction regarding naruto.

We all remember when he saids he would fight a young man with powerful eyes?

The majority of us instantly assumed it,was sasuke or tobi

But now i think its safe to assume its edo madara since hes young in his edo state and he basically has the strongest current eyes (ems,and rinnegan)

The next page he saids and you know what he is?

I think he said what instead of who because edo madara is basically a walking corpse and not really human.


So yeah this may be non relevant now but i think we can all agree the sage toad was referring to edo madara and not sasuke or obito or anyone else.

No, regardless the form madara is old. You man can refer to either Obito or sasuke. What he is may refer to somehow being a descendent to the elder son or something along those lines.

Not really, edo madara is also young in his current state.

Also his eyes are greater and more powerful.

Honestly I can agree....at first it is hevily inferred to be Sasuke, but honestly it is Obito/ Madara. He did say young MAN! Now Obito is around Kakashi's age 25-30....and Madara as an Edo looks young as well.....also note that the Frogs tend to call everyone boy or girl.....For example Katsuyu was called a girl and Jiraiya was called a boy....considering hoe much older Madara is that might get them to call him at least a man XD...

Would also be a classic Naruto...he thinks he knows what's going on, and completely gets it wrong (Thinking Haku was a girl.....cent blame him though).

He fought them again after the prediction when they were Edo's. Obito & Madara are both grown men. All the scans of the Toad sage prophecy said a Young man, Boy, or Lad. Which means someone young, all point to Sasuke since he's 16

He hardly fought them . . . More like a simple confrontation, not too mention itachi is the one who gave nagato the finishing blow not naruto, so i see no reason why the sage toad would be talking about them.

Grown man cant be young? I guess a 23 year old isnt still young in you're eyes?

You're forgetting how frog have a habit of calling grown people "boy" like how he called jman jiraiya boy?

Also why would the sage toad say what he is instead of who he is?
