I don't think it would have been advisable to turn back time that much..there are too many risks..you can't let anyone, especially your past self see you..etc etc and a lot of other stuff that could mess up the future in a really unexpected way.

Reawakening the dead and stopping their deaths are two different things. If they went back to the night of their deaths, everything could have been changed. Snape's loyalty for example. He would still be a Death Eater, and Harry would probably be a very different boy.
