They found the three kids who wanted to become stronger.

Now the main thing, at these times, the three sanins couldn't notice the Uzumaki trait, the red hair.
Forget about Orochimaru and Tsunade since they met them for only few minutes.

Also he was in the Rain Village , but idk what that has to do with it lol. idk Jiraiya's kinda slow a bit (he's smart tho)

I think his parents were living with a different surname since the Uzumakis scattered in the world. OR could it be that Uzushiogakure was still there and then it was destroyed?

Or maybe Kishi retconned Nagato into being an Uzumaki (and he's half-Uzumaki anyway), notice how his hair is drawn black while Kushina's and Mito's are white/uncolored. Or maybe his hair was wet most of their time in Ame, and wet hair looks significantly darker than dry hair.

Now that I think of it, if Oro had realized that Nagato is an Uzumaki, wouldn't he want to take him in for experiments? Or maybe he didn't know about the hair thing until later, I mean he took Karin in for her sensory abilities, not for lineage (well, that's how we know it anyway...).

Well the guy had the Rinnegan and the Uzumakis aren't known to have Rinnegan , so maybe Jiraiya got confused.

Uzumaki's may have red hairs. Doesn't mean any red haired person out there is an Uzumaki. Secondly does it matter? What would change if Jiraya knew he was an Uzumaki too? Uzumaki's were scattered anyway. It's not like the clan itself is playing any important role directly.
