I can't seem to logout of NB when I click the logout button..

i'm being serious.... O_O when ever I click on it, it takes me to the home page with me still logged in.

Try to refresh the page,then log out. Or Clear cookie, that should log you out.

i don't understand what clear the cookie is

It will auto log-out, if you do nothing on those pages (tabs) that had link to NB.
But if you go to another tab that is connect to NB, it merely reset the timer.
I do not know how long is this time out.
Because when i am writing long post, but when i click on the "Submit" button, it asked me to log-in again..
If not, follow those earlier posts.
Alternately, closed the browser.

Check your browser settings.
