but I would guess that the sage can just speed blitz anyone with Kotoamatsukami, with a speed that would make Minato poop his pants.

plus it can't be that simple, to get the sage in a genjutsu using a eye that devolved from the eye of a god (sage of six paths) that defeated another god(juubi).

is this speculation or are you making this out to be fact? If you are that means you know a hell of a lot more about the Sage and Shisui than any of us do. There's nothing you can actually use to prove or disprove your statement. For the time being, it is safe to conclude, the Sage was simply beyond every other character we,ve seen so far in the manga. If he was the originator of all jutsu, then its safe to assume he would have knowlege, or could possibly counter it Shisui's technique. Shisui has this one awesome ability we know precious little about. We possibly know even less about the Sage, without adequate facts, what you state is still not the logical conclusion.
