After reading the past few chapters and seeing the responses of people calling Tobirama a hero and such, I have a query for you to ponder.
First to clarify, I don't necessarily think Tobirama's views were wrong, it's just the way he approached them. I believe he was cautious, but he didn't seem willing to work toward some sort of compromise.
He was worried about the curse of the Uchiha, but here's the thing with that.....the Uchiha clan managed to survive and thrive all of those centuries living with their curse, and this was in a time of war.
The founding of Konoha promised a time of peace and would lessen the losses of battle, making the awakening of the Sharingan a less common thing....especially the MS, which at that time only Madara and Izuna had apparently.
When an Uchiha is hit by the curse, it only affects the one individual, not the whole clan....and I'm sure if this individual posed a danger to the village the Uchiha would also try to help in subsiding the threat.
There also could be a secret as to how the Uchiha managed to live with each other for all these years with the curse, and if Uchiha can live together with the curse....then so can all of Konoha. I think this is what Hashirama believed and Tobirama disregarded.
