Little Angel of God

(I haven't written a poem in ages. Please tell me honestly how you thought it was) This is also for my friend who is going through a very rough time-or anyone else that it reaches out to. One more thing the quote at the end was written by me.

An angel all alone
Wings stripped from his back
Scars and bruises reminding him again
Of the past he could not forget

He tried to free himself
From his cage, the torture, the pain.
But chains bound him to it
Chains with no key

The angel had lost everything
His home, his family-even his friends
He had nowhere to go
And it seemed as if no one cared

"Little Angel of God
Release the chains that bind you
For you are the key
Restore what you have lost
And you will be set free"
