Most of the Naruto characters are useless. Naruto went from being an interesting story to being a romance story between Sauce-gay and Naruto, and pretty much every other character got sidelined.

The most useless character? Definitely Danzo's tapir summon. It looked bad ass, but it was really quite useless.

Sakura and Ino are valuable characters, they may not be your favourites but they at least contribute something to the show. Ssh.
Mandra on the other hand is apparently only good enough to be blown up (Sasuke's opinion not mine)
