Cee: Honestly I don't know one thing about this guy besides him getting soloed by Sasuke

Darui and his sister and Samui: Just a side group that has no plot value and is there to introduce other villages.

Temari and Kankuro: When I found out the were related to Gaara, i was shocked. They literally do nothing and have done nothing besides save the Sasuke Retrieval team after they were basically tieing/winning

Anko: Has done nothing in the story and lost every battle and is now Kabutos biotch (or sumthing like that)

Sai: Sasuke replacement, does nothing

Yamato: "mysterious" character who does nothing and gets captured

Shino: you know why

Hinata: nn....naru....naruto-kun...your hands are warm

Any Anbu Member: "elite" Ninja that gets soloed by almost anyone plot related

Kinkaku and Gin: Never saw their importance, First time I saw them I thought it was filler :|

Kakuzu did nothing he didnt have to be there. Hidan killed Asuma

Karin although i found her useful in team taka

But she can easily replaced by jugo

When sasuke was injured and almost died karin could not heal him but jugo did .

So i guess he can replace her rule in healing .


As sensor

Juggo have his sensor birds who found the akatsuki hidout but karin coudn't so juggo can replace her in that too

Other than that Her character is waste of pages she is supposed to be funny but she is not near that .

She ruined the uzumaki clan for me .

And i hate how slutty she is .

Kakuzu did nothing he didnt have to be there. Hidan killed Asuma

Hidan would still have his head cut off if Kakuzu wasn't there. They essentially defeated Hidan, Kakuzu helped out though.

Ginkaku is the reason juubi is here, shino, hinata , sai( saved naruto's life at the begining of part two ;sasuke retrieval ) have all influenced naruto
hidan and kakuzu was naruto's reason for quickly learning a technique like rasenshuriken

1. Doesn't showing off the new jutsu instantly give Kakuzu a relative purpose?! Shows the older generation being surpassed by the new. Shows for one of the few times people exist that can thrash Kakashi. Helps show more Shikamaru intelligence feats. Also... killed by Kakashi... not Naruto .

2. Was created to fill up Raikage's Summit guards (gives him a purpose). Shows off Karin's ability to avoid detection while sensing. Shows Sasuke has decent Genjutsu.

3. Darui: Fills up Raikage summit guard. Plays a roll of defending the coast.

Samui: Displays one of the powers of Kinkage/Ginkaku... allows Darui to avoid defeat in that manner.

Karui: Shows that hatred exists between villages (because of Sasuke's actions)... shows Naruto is willing to go that far (take a beating) for Sasuke.

4. Temari: Fills up Gaara's Genin squad, later is important in showing Konha-Suna made up after the invasion by saving Shikamaru... also, saves Shikamaru. Used to Hype Raikage. Used to Show Shikamaru's intellect.

Kankuro: Fills up Gaara's Genin squad, later is important in showing Konoha-Suna made up after the invasion by saving Kiba... who later is important in finding Sasuke AKA: Giving plot drive/direction to Konoha during the Itachi Pursuit arc. Used to Hype Sasori.

5. Anko establishes the idea that Orochimaru is formally of Konoha. Foreshadows that he expiraments on his students, and in theory foreshadows the idea that Sasuke will become a student (same curse mark... once was a student). Gets the Chunin exams round II started. Hypes Orochimaru.

6. Sai shows how Naruto is capable of effecting the people around him. Provides important sealing during the war. Stops Edo Sasori and Deidara. Fills up Team 7 allowing Naruto to go on missions.

7. Foreshadows the concept of Mokuton. Uses it to help Naruto train without transforming. Helps during wind training. Fills Team 7 to let Naruto go on missions. Strengthens Zetsu allowing a more powerful army... makes the war more difficult.

8. He is important, that's because, he fills up Team 8, helps foreshadow/hype Obito's Kamui, stands as one of the closest example to a shinobi. See what I did there .

9. Fills up Team 8. Shows that Naruto always had someone that cared for him though he didn't know it. Kept him on his Ninja way through talks three times. Saved his life once, indirectly saved his life once.

10. Used in order to place hype on those plot related characters... showed Kabuto was actually on Kakashi's level. Showed the power of Pain's summons, etc... Anbu also showed how important Rin was during the Kirigakure Anbu chase.

11. Displayed initial relations to the sage (hence more lore relations). Provides Obito with Kurama's chakra to allow the Juubi to be summoned. Helps establish the old generation surpassing the new. Shows Ino-Shika-Cho coordination. Shows off powers of the Sage's Tools.


Sorry, but every character has a role and purpose. As much as you want to try, any character is put in a story for the sake of the story itself. Plus, it isn't fair to people who may like any of these characters to be told their character has no relevant use in the story.
